Coming February 23-25, 2018: An exciting creationist retreat in the scenic Shenandoah Valley! We love hosting our friends and students in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley for a relaxing and stimulating weekend of discussions and fellowship. If you're a creationist student considering graduate school, this is a great place to get to know mentors who can help you prepare for your calling. The Details
For our first retreat in the Shenandoah Valley, we are planning a special theme, The Quest: Understanding God's Creation, with Core Academy president Todd Wood. Dr. Wood will help us think deeply about the meaning of God's creation for our scientific and scholarly pursuits. This will be an outstanding opportunity for creationists of all ages and experience to think carefully about the believer's lifelong quest to understand God and His creation.
There are also gift bags with free goodies. At our Smoky Mountain retreat, last year's gift bags included a custom poster, a box of fossils, and free books. What will be in the Shenandoah Valley gift bag? There's only one way to find out: Come and get one for yourself! (If you have something you'd like to give away in the gift bag, please let us know.)
Our retreat will be held at Brethren Woods Camp & Retreat Center, north of Harrisonburg, on February 23-25, 2018. Think of this as a really big sleepover! There will be five meals provided (from dinner Friday to breakfast on Sunday), and there will be opportunities for hiking, relaxing, and enjoying God's creation.
This year we are offering two different ticket types. For married couples attending, we have a limited number of private bedrooms available for $140, which includes admission for both, a guaranteed private room, and one gift bag. The private room does not include a private bathroom. General admission (which will involve sleeping in a bunkroom) is $60 per ticket. All tickets require bed linens and toiletries. Since this is a camp, we recommend you bring a sleeping bag and pillow. There are a limited number of tickets, so don't wait, because it might sell out. Ready to buy your ticket? Click that big "Buy Now" button to go directly to our checkout, powered by Paypal.
For the schedule, we'll follow what we've done at the Smoky Mountain Retreat. Friday night: Arrival, dinner, Welcome Session. Saturday: breakfast, GIFT BAGS!, Morning Session, Lunch, free time, Dinner, Last Session. Sunday: breakfast, cleanup, departure. Each Session will consist of a combination of presentation and discussion.
