Abstract
David Park, an Emeritus Professor of Physics at Williams College in Massachusetts, has produced a wonderful story of human attempts over the past four millennia to make sense of the world within the cosmos, in relation to its physical nature, and in regards to its inhabitants - both real and imagined.
