Response to Glenn Morton's critique | Ross, H. 1997.
Facts and Faith 11(1):6-7. CELD ID 6593Abstract The American Scientific Affiliations Internet bulletin board carried a response to my article (in the last issue of Facts & Faith, vol. 10, no. 4, 1996, pp. 6, 11) on bipedal primate art and music.1 Dr. Glenn Morton, a geologist and supporter of Reasons To Believe, authored the piece. Morton objected to my suggestion that the Neanderthal "flute," the recent find under consideration in that article, could have been used as a fire-making device. His reasons include the absence of scorching and the lack of evidence that the holes went all the way through the bone.
