Abstract
A recent discovery in Greenland directly attests to life's antiquity on Earth, supporting an already strong case for life's "sudden" appearance. Five years ago our best evidence was the sheer abundance of limestone (organically produced) dating as far back as 3.8 billion years, plus the organic "profile" of carbon deposits found in 3.8-billion-year-old rocks.1
