Link with neanderthals cut by computer | Ross, H. 1995.
Facts and Faith 9(3):2. CELD ID 6527Abstract As I reported in this column in 1994 (vol. 8, no. 1), the discovery of a Neanderthal infant provided considerable evidence that Neanderthals were anatomically distinct from modern humans.(1) With the help of computer technology, the distinctions are becoming more pronounced. A new technique allows anthropologists to graphically reconstruct the anatomical features of a complete skull from just a few fragments. Tomography (CAT scan) data is fed into a sophisticated three-dimensional morphometry program to restore most of the details of the skull.
