Eric, a student at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif., wrote me about a conversation he had with one of his professors: When I asked her whether or not science could ever admit that after all the natural explanations were exhausted, there could be a creator explanation for the existence of life on earth, she told me no, that science could never resort to a supernatural explanation, even if science proves physical processes are insufficient to explain life.
