Science in the news: New insights to the moment of Creation | Ross, H. 1991.
Facts and Faith 5(1):1-2. CELD ID 6344Abstract The new year started off with a bang for publications citing new research studies on the moment of creation. In fact, I can recall few other months in my lifetime during which so much new information has been published about the origin of the universe. Unfortunately, the popular press, with few exceptions, grossly misinterpreted and misreported the findings. The Denver Post, for example, ran the headline, "Big Bang theory shot to pieces," with the subhead, "Scientists say origin-of-universe explanation should be abandoned." Many atheists, of course, relished this seeming turn of events, trumpeted the "news" that the universe was not necessarily created just 16 billion years ago.
