Abstract
One of the most notable philosophical and scientific efforts of man has been the attempt to determine by means of natural processes the age of the earth. It is believed that few scientific subjects of our time can lay more legitimate claim to or attention and study than this topic, because it affects so vitally our concepts concerning the origin and history of the earth and its life.
