Abstract
Perhaps you've seen the T-shirt. It shows an artist's depiction of the Milky Way galaxy with a big white arrow superimposed on it. The arrow points to a spot halfway between the center of our galaxy and it outer limits, and a caption reads: "You are here. " New discoveries about the physics of our galaxy and sun would permit a stronger claim: "You must be here."
