Abstract
We have often had occasion to notice some of the special features of various living creatures - features which are useful to them in their way of life. Another such feature has been mentioned recently: the fact that certain predators have marks which appear to be sighting marks to help them in catching their prey. These marks are typically lines along the bill or snout, and such marks are found in many kinds of creatures.
