CRSQ 5(4):166. CELD ID 4162Abstract We usually think of the science of genetics as beginning with the work of Gregor Mendel which became known to the world in 1900. Occasionally however we find a record which reminds us that much was understood before that time, not only in practical improvement, but also in interpreting the processes involved. This article by Professor Zirkle of the University of Pennsylvania contains an example of just such a record.
