Abstract
Dr. Wayne Frair's careful research into the exact nature of the human skull presumably fossilized in brown coal, though not as exciting as the finding of human foot prints in the Cambrian, is fully as important. His conclusion that the skull is an artistic fabrication is disappointing to those who accepted the validity of its report in Otto Stutzer's 1940 edition of Geology of Coal. However, it is most important that we be fully informed.
