| A creationist view of chromosome banding and evolution | Gibson, LJ. 1986.
Origins-GRI 13(1):9-35. CELD ID 2750Abstract The genetic instructions for an organism are located in the chromosomes of the cells of the organism and are transmitted to the offspring by inheritance. A logical prediction of evolutionary theory is that closely related species should have similar chromosomes. Techniques of chromosome banding have now been available for a long enough period of time that some trends have been discovered, and the results can be examined profitably.
