Doctors in the United States who are opposed to abortion, assisted suicide, and procedures for transgender patients cannot be required to perform these procedures, according to a new directive published by the Trump administration. The US Department of Health and Human Services has spelled out that health care professionals have the right to refuse to perform procedures that violate their religious or moral beliefs.
