What a Tale a Tail Can Tell
Nelson, BC. 2017.  Answers 12(1):34-36. CELD ID 26295

Abstract
Remember the last time you looked into the sky to find cotton-ball shapes in the clouds? Did everyone around you see the same shape? My dad would see a race car, while I would see a teddy bear. I had to specifically point out the ears before my dad would grudgingly agree it could be a bear. Similarly people see different shapes in the stars. Honestly, I bet you never saw a bear (Ursa Major or Ursa Minor, the Big and Little Bears) until somebody pointed it out. If that person knew the whole story, they would also point out the long, distorted tails. But did you ever stop to ask why a bear would have a long tail? Real bears don't have long tails. Clearly, somebody with a vivid imagination has to come up with this interpretation.
