| Book review: Making Sense of Evolution: Darwin, God, and The Drama of Life by John F. Haught | Murphy, GL. 2011.
PSCF 63(1):67-68. CELD ID 24896Abstract It is an article of faith for many Americans that evolution and belief in God are incompatible. Some think that Darwin's theory threatens basic Christian faith while others claim that it implies the impossibility of believing in a God who is involved with the world. These views are held in the teeth of the evidence: many religious believers understand and accept evolution and some have argued for a Christian understanding of it. Prominent among them has been the Roman Catholic theologian John Haught, Professor Emeritus at Georgetown University, whose previous books include God after Darwin and Deeper than Darwin.
