CELD ID 23263Abstract The Semmelweis reflex, or Semmelweis effect may be defined as any erroneous scientific theory position irrationally within the scientific community in the clear face of existing contrary evidence. Frequently accompanied by the suppression of the contrary evidence, and often by direct harassment of supporters of relevant truth, the modern teaching of evolution and its enforcement on scientists is a case in point.
