| The Ark, its course and destination | Schmich, J. 1978.
CRSQ 15(3):161-163. CELD ID 2156Abstract Commonly, the account in Genesis has been interpreted to mean that, at the end of the flood, the ark grounded on Mount Ararat and remained there. Here a different interpretation is proposed: that eventually the ark returned to a lower altitude, more suitable for Noah and his family to begin life again there. Such a destination seems more in keeping with God's providential care of the ark during its voyage.
