| Conference report: Genetics meeting at ICR | Anderson, K. 2006.
CRSQ 43(1):56. CELD ID 20973Abstract On January 3-6, 2006, over a dozen scientists met at the Institute for Creation Research (Santee, CA) for a workshop discussing various aspects of genetics and the GENE project. (The GENE project is a joint research project of the Creation Research Society and the Institute for Creation Research that will focus on the human genome and other aspects of genetics relative to a creation model.) Those in attendance represented a variety of scientific expertise ranging from molecular and population genetics to computer programming and bioinformatics. Such a combination of scientific expertise and knowledge enable in-depth discussions about a number of topics, and helped to establish important collaborations between scientists who may not normally collaborate or even communicate on specific research projects.
