| Book review: The Beauty of the Infinite: The Aesthetics of Christian Truth | Drozdek, A. 2005.
PSCF 57(4):338. CELD ID 20171Abstract The category of beauty, a name for God according to Dionysus, is far more important in the theology of the Orthodox Church than it is in the West. Also, the concept of infinity is one of the first attributes associated with the divine, so much that it became the designation of the divine at the dawn of theology (cf. Anaximander). Therefore, much could be expected if an Orthodox theologian announces in the title of his book that he wants to tackle the problem of beauty and infinity at the same time. But disappointment rather quickly settles in.
