Abstract
The current Chairman of the ASA's Commission on Creation, Robert C. Newman, has unfolded some persistent problems for holding a macroevolutionary view for origins of life. In opposition to this, ASA Advisory Council Member Francis S. Collins has expressed his support for evolution, a concept commonly conceived as a "tree of life."
