Abstract
Many people are fascinated by the fate of the woolly mammoths in the lands around the North Pole. Not surprisingly, many explanations for the situation have been attempted. Not the least of the relevant issues is why these animals entirely died out. Now there is a well reasoned, well documented discussion of these questions. Not only is Michael Oard's new book Frozen in Time well argued, but it is also interesting and eminently readable.
