Education: reason or rote? | Moore, JN. 1985.
NCC83 :172-174. CELD ID 19284Abstract During the last fifty years Secular Humanism has become the dominant viewpoint in all major disciplines in American public schools. Proponents of the "world view" encourage "free" thought unfettered by any traditional explanations. In fact, most educational leaders are urging (1) more humanistic education (built upon the cornerstone that human beings are "evolving" animals) and (2) more humanistic ethics (based upon the assumption that human beings should act in each environmental situation like "evolving" animals in order to survive).
