The influence of evolution on philosophy and ethics | Pearcey, NR. 1985.
NCC83 :166-171. CELD ID 19283Abstract I would like to speak to you tonight about the influence of the theory of evolution on philosophy and ethics. One of the strengths of the creation movement is that it was begun by scientists, not theologians. That fact silences the frequently heard criticism that our motivation is primarily theological, that the purse of creationism is to protect and promote our so-called "extreme fundamentalist" theology. Our motivation is instead primarily scientific: the creation movement was born when scientists saw that certain scientific data did not fit the evolution model. They then looked for an alternative which was more in line with the biblical account.
