Is evolution an obsolete theory? | Burdick, CL. 1985.
NCC83 :26-28. CELD ID 19256Abstract For one who got into the Evolution-Creation controversy as a protege of George McCready Price, we have seen the program grow from a small embryonic science known as DELUGE GEOLOGY to the present broader inductive science called CREATIONISM. Both branches of the science are based, of course, upon the Bible; however, Creationism seems to be a bit more flexible, at least time-wise. There have been efforts to introduce the teaching of Creationism into the public schools, perhaps alongside of the standard evolution program, so that students can take their choice. The opposition has objected on the grounds that Creationism opponents are attempting to introduce religion in the public schools. Also, they claim that creationists have so little of recognized science to support their claims that they try to back up their science with religion from the Bible. I have developed a method of getting away from that objection entirely. I have gathered sufficient field evidence over the years that now we can present a solid front of scientific observations that has caused the evolutionary hypothesis to collapse like a house of cards. The evolutionary dogma turned out to be an hypothesis based on too scanty field evidence, mostly from England and Germany. Another illustration might be the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which is leaning a bit more each year because its foundation is sinking sand. With the accumulation of worldwide geological data, evolution is suffering like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
