Scientific methods and origins | Moore, JN. 1985.
NCC83 :5-10. CELD ID 19253Abstract Fully proper, orderly empirical and theoretical aspects of scientific activity always involve direct and indirect study of matter-energy relationships concerning naturally-occurring objects and/or events in the physical environment of professional scientists. Primary attention, then, will be given to relationship of these paramountly scientific methods of physical and biological scientists to the general subject area of first origin questions. Itemization of criteria relevant to the question, what is scientific?, will be provided so as to clarify four distinct limiting principles of scientific endeavor. Then these criteria will be applied to three further questions: Is it possible to scientifically study the origin of the universe?, and, Is it possible to scientifically study the origin of human beings? Significant circumstantial, scientific evidence will be mentioned with regard to discreteness and uniqueness of easily recognizable separate forms of non-living and living plants and animals.
