| The Chemical Composition of the Earth's Original Atmosphere | Walton, JC. 1976.
Origins-GRI 3(2):66-84. CELD ID 1887Abstract It has often been postulated that the original atmosphere of the earth was a reducing one. Such an atmosphere, unlike the present oxidizing kind, would facilitate the formation and survival of those molecules believed to be associated with the spontaneous origin of life. The author discusses some of the cosmological, geological, and biological evidence related to this important issue.
