| The present war against evolution | Shipley, M. 1928.
Evolution (6):10-11. CELD ID 17398Abstract Since they have met defeat in a number of State legislatures the enemies of science have determined "to carry the question of evolution to the plain people." In other words, since they can not get educated men and women to approve their activities, they are going to appeal directly to the mass of the electorate, which, engrossed in other duties, has had little opportunity to judge questions of science. Their first experiment of this kind is being carried on in Arkansas.
