Abstract
The subject-matter of the present paper is devoted to a consideration of the diurnal Lepidoptera of Southern Asia, including Hidostan, Ceylon, and the group of numerous and, in most cases, large islands ordinarily known as the Malay Archipelago,--a wide region indeed, and comprising a correspondingly large and varied Fauna.
