| Book review: Doomsday: The Science of Catastrophic Events by Antony Milne | Drake, J. 2001.
PSCF 53(1):61-62. CELD ID 15077Abstract On the heels of certain apocalyptic predictions pertaining to the advent of the third millennium (2000 A.D., Y2K), Milne's recent book is addressed to an audience inundated with (if not, at this point, incredulous to) doomsday literature. An "eschatology" for scientism, Doomsday enlivens certain fears that may have subsided following a notably uneventful New Year. The message of Doomsday is clear: cause for concern about a catastrophic end is not over yet.
