Abstract

This may be the title of the banner displayed by authors Burnham and Phelan when advertising their new book, Mean Genes: From Sex to Money to Food Taming our Primal Instincts. This book observes the world through a Darwinian lens as it examines tough issues like love, adultery, family, violence, greed, and the primal instinct. It is, according to the Introduction, "an owner's manual for your brain."
