Abstract
Throughout history, many a philosopher and scientist have preoccupied themselves with the question of what makes us human and so obviously different from the animal kingdom. To answer this we might want to take a look at the one organ that seems to provide humanity with unique abilities and that is the human brain. In looking at its design and a few of the functions (unique to humans) with which it provides us, we might begin to answer this question.
