Abstract
Scientists Tanford and Reynolds have ably met a long standing need. Guides to European art museums, WWII battle grounds, cathedrals, gardens and other interests abound, but until now, the sciences have been neglected. This work offers "a framework that would put each particular place into reasonable historical and scientific perspective, to jog the memory of the expert and to provide some orientation for the novice."
