CS Dialogue 15(2):4-5. CELD ID 13430 Abstract The subject of weather is one which generates a great deal of interest since it directly affects most human affairs. The apparent unpredictability of the weather and the inability of most people to understand its basic principles make it seem all the more mysterious. In general however, weather phenomena are quite predictable and follow certain laws of atmospheric physics. Weather phenomena have drawn a lot of interest in recent years because of apparent climactic changes all over the world. If climates are changing now to what extent could they have changed in the past? Specifically could basic climate changes be responsible for the occurrence of something as far reaching as an ice age or ice ages, evidence for which appears on the surface of the Earth?
