The moon revisited
Dye, B. 1988.  CS Dialogue 15(1):4-5. CELD ID 13425

Abstract
In a recent television commercial featuring some of the Apollo astronauts I was suprised at how much they had aged. I realized however that it had been nearly 20 years since that July 1969 visit to the lunar surface by Neil Armstrong and company. Indeed those who can remember that far back will remember the excitement about that first moon visit, and about the many hopes that were pinned on it. After 20 years and countless man hours spent examining lunar rock samples brought back by Apollo astronauts, has our view of the moon changed that much? Further, how much closer are we to a basic understanding of the nature of the moon?
