Book review: The Extraordinary Story of Human Origins by Piero and Alberto Angela | Probst, DK. 1994.
PSCF 46(3):201. CELD ID 13353Abstract The authors have succeeded in writing a book that reads much like a detective story, as they intended to. The book, originally copyrighted in 1989, provides the reader with a bit of the flavor of trying to unravel a puzzle from rather scant evidence and of squeezing all the information possible from the evidence that is available. Piero Angela is a well-known journalist and bestselling author in Italy and the host of television programs on science. He is also the founder of Italy's Skepticism Group. Alberto Angela has a degree in natural science from the University of Rome and has participated in paleontological researches in Zaire, with Noel Boaz and in Tanzania with Donald Johnson. Together, the two seem quite well qualified to write a book of this type.
