Book review: The Earth is the Lord's: Christians and the Environment edited by Richard D. Land and Louis A. Moore
Bube, RH. 1994.  PSCF 46(3):198. CELD ID 13350

Abstract
The pantheistic and New Age excesses of non-Christians concerned about the environment often cause Christians to abandon this area of important stewardship. This book grew out of discussions at the Southern Baptist Christian Life Commission's meeting in March 1991 entitled "Christians and the Environment: Finding a Biblical Balance Between Idolatry and Irresponsibility," and seeks in many ways to overcome this frequent challenge to evangelical Christianity. The first words of the Preface set the stage with a quote of Psalm 24:l: "The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein."
