Life on Mars ... a pipe-dream going up in smoke? | Dye, B. 1989.
CEN 11(4):32-35. CELD ID 11363Abstract On September 28, 1988, Mars made its nearest approach to earth in 15 years. Observers who owned small telescopes were provided with a rare opportunity to look at the 'red' planet. Unfortunately, only a limited amount of information can be gathered by telescopes. But thanks to mankind's ongoing interest in Mars, much information has been gathered through the use of unmanned space vehicles.
