Abstract
For a number of years, some Christians involved in creation research in North America, Germany, Australia and the UK have voiced ideas in geology which have challenged the popular creationist viewpoint. These ideas are to be presented in a series of articles, beginning in this first article by establishing a sound theological foundation. Whilst it is issues like the dinosaurs which raise immediate interest, we cannot consider them without doing some homework first. We must read our Bible carefully.
