Abstract
Whatever this old rhyme tells us about the class struggle and feminism, it does enshrine an important truth: Adam and Eve worked! Of course the nature of work changed after the Fall, but they were nevertheless created to work. This is one of the major doctrines that we learn from the Scriptures, that God put man on the earth to work in it.
